In its coverage of ProMat 2017, held April 3-6 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Modern Materials Handling spent time with Lightning Pick Vice President and General Manager Jim Bast and Marketing Manager Joe Pelej, touring the booth during a press conference held Monday.

Highlighted were Holjeron’s new ZoneLinkTC controller for motor-driven roller (MDR) conveyors that can be easily configured with minimal human intervention; Lightning Pick put wall enhancements, including vision-guided augmented reality picking, cubby illumination and touchless task confirmation; and Pyramid’s new Continuous Intelligent Operations (CIO) software and control solutions, in action on the show floor as a live demo.

“As a comprehensive provider of fulfillment solutions, Matthews is continuously creating new ways to energize the live supply chain and develop new ways to address omni-channel and e-commerce distribution challenges. The live demo of the CIO-driven automated order finishing line with MDR conveyor and print-and-apply labeling is just a small part of how our solutions synergize complex, previously silo-ed automation throughout a facility, end-to-end.”
